If renting a car abroad is something that scares you, you’re not alone. I haven’t sat behind the wheel of a car since moving to Norway and I don’t intend to change that anytime soon (I’m SUCH a nervous driver!). Luckily for you and me, you don’t necessarily need a car to explore Norway, Sweden and Denmark as Scandinavia can easily be visited by train! In this article, I’ll present you with my favourite itinerary to Scandinavia, as well as further information on travel in Norway, Sweden and Denmark, so that all you need to do is book that ticket and go!
Two weeks ago, I told you how much I loved Gothenburg and how much the city suprised me. I actually only had 24 hours to explore the city as I spend my second day out in the Gothenburg archipelago, namely in Marstrand. If you ever happen to be in the Gothenburg area, you just HAVE to head over to the archipelago too. I even go as far as to say that the Gothenburg archipelago is even more beautiful than the Stockholm archipelago but that's just my opinion.
Gothenburg is a wonderful city and completely blew my mind! I definitely regret not having stayed there longer and will absolutely come back some day! Overall I stayed there three nights, spending my first evening at my accommodation as I was exhausted from the journey, and spending my last day out in the archipelago which left me with only one full day in the city itself.
Happy Travel Tuesday!! My Scandinavian Roadtrip continues today and after Oslo I went to Gothenburg. I only spend one day in the city and one day out in the archipelago and I really regret not staying there longer. I absolutely want to visit the city again as it's so beautiful and less crowded and touristy than Oslo. So for today's post I decided to share my personal highlights of Gothenburg with you!
